MIUI 14 update is on the way for this Redmi smartphone!

MIUI 14

Xiaomi has recently launched the latest version of its operating system, MIUI 14, which is now being rolled out to users worldwide. Based on Android 12 and Android 13, this new update promises to bring many new features and enhancements, and a better user experience than its predecessor.

One of the latest announcements that Xiaomi made was about the release of the MIUI 14 update for the Redmi Note 9S model. The company stated that the global ROM versions of the Redmi Note 9S will soon receive the update, which will bring the latest February 2023 security patch with build numbers V14.0.1.0.SJWMIXM. Additionally, the update will also enhance the system security of the device.

Although the official release date for the update has not yet been announced, it is expected to be available to users by mid-March. The update will initially be released for Mi Pilot users, and then for general use if no problems arise.

So, what new features can we expect from MIUI 14? One of the most significant changes is the ability to delete most of the basic applications that are pre-installed on the device but cannot be removed due to system limitations. Xiaomi also claims that the power consumption of third-party applications will be reduced by 22% with the help of photon engine technology. This technology helps to optimize the performance of applications, especially for multiplayer games.

The company also claims that the performance of the new system has improved significantly. With Android 13 and MIUI 14, system fluency has increased by 88%, while power consumption has improved by 16%. The company has achieved this improvement by reworking and re-developing the MIUI interface, making it faster, more stable, and taking up less space. However, it should be noted that only the models with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8 Gen 1+, and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors are optimized for these innovations.

MIUI 14 also introduces a new feature called “super icons”, which allows users to add different symbols to their home screen, creating a more dynamic theme.

In general, MIUI 14 update promises to bring a lot of new features and enhancements that will improve the user experience for Xiaomi users worldwide. With improvements in system performance, reduced power consumption, and the ability to remove pre-installed applications, the new update is expected to be well-received by Xiaomi users. While we wait for the official release of the update, we can only hope that the update will live up to its promises and that it will launch without any major issues.
