Redmi Note 12 series launch is closer than expected

Redmi Note 11 4G

Last October Xiaomi surprised its fans in China with the Redmi Note 11 series. It has yet to enter the global market, but the manufacturer is already preparing successors. Xiaomiui has found information on certification of 12 devices, some of which may well come out within the Redmi Note 12 line.

As a reminder, the K16 model number belongs to the Redmi Note 11 Pro (67W), and the K16U is the Redmi Note 11 Pro + (120W). L16 could very well be owned by Redmi Note 12 Pro, while L16U could stand for Redmi Note 12 Pro +. The K19 was assigned to the Redmi Note 10 5G, the K19P went to the Poco M3 Pro 5G. Redmi Note 12 can be hidden behind the L19 model number, and the L19P – POCO M5 Pro 5G. The L19N could be the NFC-enabled version of the Redmi Note 12.

At the moment there is no information about the characteristics of the devices. At the same time, the source suggested that they should debut in the second quarter of this year. It’s hard to believe in such an early debut of the Redmi Note 12 line on the global market. It is much more likely that this series can enter the Chinese market, but it will get to the global market later. Also, do not forget that the imminent release of the Redmi Note 12 family is just an assumption, and any smartphones that are not part of the Redmi Note family may be hiding behind the models that have passed certification.

Now, in a recent development, a Xiaomi Smartphone believed to belong to the Redmi K50 series, has passed by the Geekbench 5 website with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Apparently, Xiaomi is going another round with the Snapdragon 870 SoC.

The new smartphone passed by the Geekbench benchmark with the model number 22021211RC. The Xiaomi 22021211RC scored 963 points in the single-core tests of the Geekbench 5. When it comes to the multi-core department, the device recorded 3,123 points. These results are, so far, okay for a Snapdragon 870-powered smartphone. Interestingly, the listing also confirms the device will come with a Qualcomm processor with a “munch” codename. As a result, we can conclude it’s the Snapdragon 870 SoC.
