Google Play Games for PC is a neat initiative that brings some popular Android games to PCs. The service has been in beta for quite some time, but apparently, is finally giving signs of a full-fledged release. Today, the Google Play Games beta has been expanded to over 40 European countries (including the UK) and New Zealand. With those new additions, the service is now available in 56 countries. It’s a major advancement from the 13 of November.

Google’s broader goal with Google Play Games for PC is to reach more players. The search giant wants to give players access to their games on as many devices as possible. Thanks to a standalone app, it’s possible to seamlessly play your favorite games across smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs.

Google Play Games currently offers more than 100 Android titles. Not all games are a consensus in terms of popularity. However, you will still be able to find popular ones such as Asphalt 9, Homescapes, Last Fortress, and 1945: Air Force. Google is adding more games to the service. The goal is to build a huge portfolio, perhaps with most of the Play Store games in the near future. For now, it will be adding games with a good pace.

The requirements are not so demanding and with a 4-core CPU, integrated CPU, and Windows 10 or above, you can play games without any hassle. To be more technical, Google recommends a PC with at least Windows 10, an SSD, 8 GB of RAM, and a Quad-Core CPU with Intel’s UHD 630 graphics or its AMD equivalent. This is the basic, but Google recommends a dedicated “gaming” GPU like Nvidia’s GeForce MX450 and above and a CPU with eight logical cores.
The search giant promises to add more countries to the service pretty soon. It is worth noting, that Windows 11 users can also enjoy some Android games via Amazon’s store. The latest Window version comes with a feature to natively run Android games and apps. Of Course, running the games through the Google Play Games app should be better thanks to the achievements, save integration and etc.
