The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has been confirmed to launch soon. It will be the fifth entrant in Xiaomi’s Note series.
Xiaomi recently launched the Note 12 series in China. The lineup comprises the Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G.
Also, the Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition is part of the recently unveiled lineup. Xiaomi is prepping to bring the Note 12 series to the Indian market as well.
However, it is still unclear whether the Explorer Edition will launch in the country along with the other Note 12 series phones. Noted tipster Mukul Sharma claims the Note 12 5G series will launch in India in the first week of January.
Notably, the Note 12 series smartphones will launch in India on January 5. Now, Xiaomi has confirmed another Redmi Note 12 series phone will go official in China soon.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition Launch Imminent
The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition will launch in China on December 27, according to a Weibo post. Likewise, the Note 12 Pro Ultra will make its debut during the Redmi K60 December 27 launch event.
Furthermore, the report suggests the phone will sport an OLED display. Under the hood, it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset.
The Weibo post has the phrase “More surprise, releasing in the event!.” This is a major sign that more devices will break cover at the impending event.
The Speed Edition features a squarish area on the back with the Redmi branding. Also, the post confirms it will be available in a Green color option.
The frame has flat corners and the rear panel houses a triple rear camera cutout. Past leaks suggest the Speed Edition will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz rapid refresh rate.
Moreover, the handset will reportedly ship with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will boot Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.
