Gizchina News of the week

From the teaser image (above) we see a full metal unibody design, just like in the latest smartphones from the Redmi series. The smartphone is rumored to sport a 5.5″ display which makes us assume it’ll be a Redmi Note 4.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is also expected toĀ feature (based on a GeekBench leak) aĀ MediaTek Helio X20 @2GHz, 2GB / 3GB of RAM, front 8 mega-pixel + rear 13 mega-pixel cameras, all powered by a 4000mAh battery. The phoneĀ will be priced 899 YuanĀ ($135) at launch… is what is being said at the moment.

Either way, we won’t have to wait longĀ before weĀ get some official info, as the press conference will be held tomorrow. Stay tuned on GizChina for the latest updates. More Redmi Note 4 leaks and news here.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is fine with Helio X10.
Note 4 should bring new features (eg. quick charge, more LTE bands) to be appealing in today’s super competitive environment.

If it’s just going to be X20 then yawn. Who will be first to put 2K screen on a cheap phone? 4GB RAM and 652? I don’t know, but it needs something.

Actually i think even 3GB for normal daily use is more than enough. But probably for power user that use a lot of apps then they need much bigger Ram.

Snapdragon SD652 will be a very nice upgrade but too bad Xiaomi choose to use mediatek SOC. Not that x20 is bad but i had quite enough bad past experiences with mediatek smartphones, their android support (patches, update, etc) was almost non existence and far behind qualcomm support. Again this is a pure biased non objective opinion from me.

4K is really too small for my oldie poor eyes LOL. Full HD is really the max resolution that i can use. Probably screen quality can improve so can see better in bright sunlight. Water proof, drop resistance, etc are better improvement than 2k screen (for me at least).

Thin bezel or no bezel not much important for me, but those ugly black border better cover it with metal casing.
