Garmin Venu 3 and 3S Arrive With “Nap Tracking”, Wheelchair Mode and More


Garmin one of the leading companies in wearable solutions, is here with an update for its Venu series. The popular feature-packed smartwatch lineup has been updated with the new Garmin Venu 3 and Venu 3S. These new smartwatches start at $450 and are quite appealing in terms of features.

The Venu 3 duo can detect naps and add them to the overall sleep tracking. Yes, these smartwatches have an interesting “Nap Tracking” feature. This feature is quite sophisticated thanks to the Pulse Ox (Blood Oxygen) and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) monitoring.

Among the highlights, the Venu 3 and 3S also come with an interesting Wheelchair mode. It tracks daily pushes instead of steps and gives weight shift alerts. That’s a neat feature that greatly enhances the accessibility of these smartwatches. Technical Details

In terms of specs, the Garmin Venu 3 comes with a 1.4-inch AMOLED screen with always-on. The 3S has a smaller display with a 1.2-inch. The watches take standard 22mm and 18mm bands respectively. The case features fiber-reinforced polymer, while the bezel is stainless steel. The glass on top is Gorilla Glass 3.

The Venu 3 sells in a 45mm trim and Whitestone and Black Color options. The 3S is available in a 41mm size and offers pebble gray, sage gray, French Gray, Dust Rose, and Ivory color options.

The new series promises up to 14 days of battery life in the smartwatch mode. Due to the long endurance, users can monitor health metrics 24/7 and receive a holistic view of their stress. The system also tracks sleep in a smart way and can deliver personalized sleep coaching and nap detection.
