Experience Pro-Grade Gaming with the Logitech G Pro X TKL Lightspeed

Logitech G Pro X TKL

Logitech has launched a brand-new mechanical keyboard. It’s called the Logitech G Pro X TKL Lightspeed. Currently available for $199, there are a lot of things to love about this keyboard.

Not only does the Logitech G Pro X TKL Lightspeed come in three different colors and three different switches, but it promises to offer a redefined pro-grade gaming experience. And as the name suggests, you get superfast and super reliable wireless connectivity too.

More About the Logitech G Pro X TKL Lightspeed

Like the other gears from the Pro lineup from Logitech, the G Pro X TKL Lightspeed is designed by the Pros. In other words, Logitech considered all professional gamers’ needs when coming up with this keyboard. But compared to the predecessor, it’s a proper upgrade. Here’s why:

Versatile and Superfast Connectivity Options

You can set the Logitech G Pro X TKL Lightspeed the way you want. It has a wired, Lightspeed connection, and Bluetooth connectivity. But among the three, the Lightspeed wireless connection is basically where this gaming keyboard shines.

To be exact, the Lightspeed connectivity is far more responsive than Bluetooth. The typical polling rate for the Bluetooth wireless connection is 125Hz. On the other hand, the polling rate is 1000Hz. To give you a perspective, the polling rate for the keyboard with USB-C is also at 1000Hz.

LightSpeed Connection

So, in short, with the Lightspeed dongle, you get the same experience as using the G Pro X TKL in wired mode. This makes the keyboard offer the freedom of wireless connection without jeopardizing the responsiveness and introducing unnecessary latency.

But if you were to compare, the G Pro X TKL is behind the leading Corsair boards with the Slipstream Wireless dongle. Corsair is offering a 2,000Hz polling rate through that, which is 2x faster than Lightspeed wireless connection. Still, 1000Hz is more than responsive for most gamers.

Pro-grade Switch Options of Logitech G Pro X TKL

Like the previous Pro-grade keyboard, the Logitech G Pro X TKL comes in three different options. First, there’s the GX Blue, which is a clicky switch geared to offer you the highest possible tactile feedback. Second, you have the GX Brown, which is also tractile but much quieter than the GX Blue switch.

Last but not least, there’s the GX Red switch, a linear switch that prioritizes quiet typing and gaming experience more than tactile feedback. So, regardless of what your switch preference is, you have the option to get the G Pro X TKL in the way you want.

Customizable Controls

The Logitech G Pro X TKL comes with programmable keys. You can configure each exactly how you want. More importantly, the keyboard comes with a dedicated Game Mode Button and a new Game Mode Lock function. These two are there to deliver a smooth gaming experience.

In addition, the G Pro X TKL features media controls and a volume roller. Thanks to this, you don’t need to minimize the game just to control your gaming setup’s playback and volume level.

On that note, as the keyboard has a TKL layout (Ten Key Less), you can easily integrate it into your gaming setup. Also, it’s compact enough to get into your backpack, letting you effortlessly take the board with you for gaming tournaments or LAN parties.

Enhanced Lighting Feature of Logitech G Pro X TKL

Aside from having Pro-grade switches and advanced gaming features, the Logitech G Pro X TKL boasts RGB lighting with LIGHTSYNC. You get dual-shot PBT keycaps that make the light beautifully shine through. And thanks to the LIGHTSYNC feature, you can sync the board’s lights with other Logitech Pro gears.
